Fleet AW Association

FAWA Scholarship Program

The FAWA scholarship is intended to further the education of the children of active FAWA fulltime members (unavailable for associate members). Applicants must either be selected for acceptance or already attending college. Applicants should work closely with their parent(s) in filling out the form.

It is not the intent to make the applicant provide excessive documentation and/or transcripts to verify the form information. We rely on both the integrity and the values of both the applicant and the parent(s) as to the application accuracy.

The scholarship applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee. The number of scholarships and amounts will be awarded per available Association funding. The minimum number and amount should be approximately one $100 award per division (approximately 50% of the dues of all divisional members). Larger divisions may be eligible to greater number and/or increase in scholarship awards and amounts. Divisions lacking a suitable applicant will have their scholarship awards allocated with the remaining divisions.

Applicants whose parent(s) died in aircraft-related mishap shall automatically be awarded a scholarship amount determined by the committee. This automatic scholarship is "grandfathered" to the children of all AWs who perished in an aircraft-related accident prior to the inception of FAWA. Rob
