I was one of the plank owners switching from AX3 to AW3 on our way to WestPac with HS-4. I served with HS-4, VP-44, HS-1, HS-7 and retired at AW A school in Oct 1981. I was at the school the same time as Doug Lane, Jerry Ward, Richard Poffenberger and Wayne Howard. I serverd in HS-1 and HS-7 with John Krumland and Wally Wolber.
After I retired I worked for SAIC as an Education Specialist and Systems Analyst then for Civil Service at DCMSS and at NETPDTC as a Programmer Analyst. I retired from Civil Service as a GS-12 in Oct 1999 then worked for Concurrent Computer Corporation until July of 2006. I'm now fully retired and out of the rat race. I have many fond memories of my Navy career.
