AWC (Sel) Phil Dunn:
I first met George in 1988 when he was an AWC instructing at FASO Det Brunswick. Afterwards he did a father and son tour w/ VP-10 as a Acoustic Operator. His son is an AW1 at VP-26 and is due to transfer to Force Warfare. After VP-10 he did another tour w/ FASO Det Brunswick. There he picked up AWCS and was the senior enlisted advisor there. He retired around the 95-96 timeframe w/ 26 years of faithful service as a AWCS.
I believe he retired to upstate New York. Also of note he served in Vietnam possibly flying with VP-11 and was awarded the Air Medal for his actions in support of Operation Market Time. Finally I think his nickname was George Sr, but he was always Chief ! or Senior Chief ! to me.
