I was stationed with CFAW-1 at NAS Naha Okinawa when I changed my rate from AX to AW. I got a commision to WO-1 while there and also was promoted to AWCS at the same time. I went to NAS Jacksonville Fla to NAESU P-3 Team Leader.
I was later commissioned as a WO-2 and also passed the AWCM test. In June 1972 I reverted back to AWCM and retired.
The Marshall L Henson listed just below me is my older brother. He retired as a AWC Jan 1972
I was sorry to notice the passing of David McDaniel. I was relieved by AWC David L McDaniel after I made WO-1 and have always wondered how his duty with CFAW-1 turned out.
