My wife and I are still here in the Bay Area. Kids all grown and ??? one might be headed for the "Wings of Gold" in the next few months. I'm the Training Manager for a Semiconductor Capital Equipment Manufacturing Company (Steag RTP Systems) and have Ray Jensen, Jim Butner and a "PLA" TJ Templeton working for me at this time. Had to recently break tradition and finally hire an ex-Army guy ( at least he was Air Cav Vietnam vet), but we still have great time.
AWCS (Ret.) Dave "Devo" DeVarney:
I met Gary when I first began working at FASO Moffett. Gary was the role model Sailor for the NRA program. He didn't suffer fools lightly but had quite the paternal instinct when he trained his acoustic operators. He also covered my butt one time when I left a Jez tape on the recorder in the 14B44...of course, it cost me several beers to re-pay him!!

AWC Jim "Bucket" Hunnewell:
Gary and I worked together in the late 80's both before and after he retired from the Navy. I was a WST Instructor for CPW-10, Gary was TAD from VP-50 as an Instructor. After Gary retired, he was hired to update target software for the WST's that I was still working in. I learned a lot from Gary's experience and enjoyed working with him.
