Mr. Engsberg,
I'd be very interested in talking with you by phone regarding an aircraft collision you witnessed as a crewman aboard a VS-25 S2 on 01-11-68 off the coast of Hawaii, while station on the Yorktown. My father was the pilot on the other aircraft (VS-23) and the only fatality of the accident. The navy never gave our family a detailed account of the accident leading up to his emergency landing. Any information you could provide would greatly be appreciated.
My records indicate Wallace J. Ables and Robert L. Clapp were the pilots aboard your aircraft.
