I was an made AW3 from ATN3, VP-4 out of Barbers Point, Hawaii. I flew Aircrew / First Tech. on P3A's & B's, was one of the first NATOPS qualified Jezebel operators (when they were lil' bitty black boxes). I was also NATOPS qualified on Rad/Mad. and ended up NATOPS Evaluator for both positions. Additionally, I helped develop and field test the first ASTA Cart for in-flight sub chaser tactics. I left the Fleet for the Reserves at Glenview Naval Air Station where I taught the aircraft positions and NATOPS qualified aircrewmen. My final rate was AW2. My call sign was "Rock" and in the Nam my callsign was "Halo Shampoo".
