Shipmates Comments:
AW1 John A. Lopez:
Sid came to the Titans of HSL-94 from HSL Norfolk. He brought to the shop much needed fleet experience as well as a sense of humor. I can remember him now calling all the TARS, that had never served, "boot camps". We could always depend on Sid supporting our flight schedule in the middle of the week as well as non drill weekends when the squadron was still flying. Hence, the reason he was flying back from AUTEC that fateful day instead of flying some cushy airlines the Reserves would set up so they (Reservists) could get home on time vice breaking down during the cross country. Sid grew up in South Africa, but died serving the greatest country. We lost four shipmates that day and Sid is missed by all AW's, past and present.

AW2 (Civ.) Marty Henderson:
I knew Sid when we were in the RAG together. Sid was dismissed from the Navy for cancer surgery and was taken out of flight status. Not sure how he got into the Reserves and back into flight status, but his dedication to be an AW as plainly obvious. He will be missed!
