NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 13 (UPI)--A Navy helicopter crashed in the Atlantic about 300 miles off Virginia today, and three crewmen were rescued. Three others were missing.
One of the rescued men was transferred to a naval hospital after swallowing sea water and aviation fuel.
Among the missing were Cmdr. Paul Lawrence Nelson of Jacksonville, Fla., one of the two pilots in the SH-3 helicopter. The names of the others were not made public.
The crash, at 10:15 A.M., was returning to the aircraft carrier Forrestal.
